Due to their continuous growth an opportunity has arisen for an experienced Financial Director to head their Accounts team. The Role. Reporting to and working closely with the current Board members, you will be responsible finance function of the organisation, and provide financial advice and support to help senior executives make key decisions. Job Duties: Assist with Group-wide budgeting. Ensure that all of the company's financial practices are in line in statutory regulations and legislation. Analyse the financial climate and market trends to assist senior management in creating strategic plans for the future. Interpret complex financial information and provide updates and information as required Monitor cash flow, and produce forecasts. Produce accounts, and other financial transactions and KPIs. Supervise financial assistants and other employees in the facilitation of day-to-day operations, including tracking financial data, invoicing, payroll, etc. Prepare timely and detailed reports on financial performance on a quarterly and annual basis. Conduct analysis to make forecasts and report to the Board. Seek out methods and practices to minimise financial risk. Contract auditing services to ensure financial monitoring is up-to-date. Create and maintain relationships with service providers and contractors, including banking institutions and accountants. Update and implement financial policies, procedures and controls. Contribute to the strategic management of the Board by developing and maintaining strategies that encompass the Finance Department. To lead on the financial aspects of any strategic projects aimed at achieving growth of the organisation. Monitor and control the quality and cost-effectiveness of services provided by the department to ensure high standards and value for money. Staff Management/Deployment - To lead and manage the Finance team by establishing excellent ongoing working relationships with team and with other departments. Drive the financial planning of the company by analysing its performance and risks. Retain constant awareness of the company's financial position (including working capital management) and act proactively to prevent problems. Manage and oversee the Group's finance IT system. Set targets for and supervise all accounting and finance personnel. Conduct analysis to make forecasts and report to the Board. Establish and implement a training program for new finance employees. SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS: Proven experience as a Director of Finance, or a Senior Manager within the finance function looking to progress in their career. Experience of the Motor Retail Industry is essential. In-depth knowledge of corporate finance and accounting principles, laws and best practices Solid knowledge of financial analysis and forecasting An analytical mind with a strategic ability Excellent organisational, development and leadership skills Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities ACA/ACCA/CIMA or other relevant qualification required.
