Essential Skills of Business Analyst Strong data background with experience working within the investment services or asset management environment Experience of process mapping (BPMN or similar), Data Modelling (ER Diagrams, System Modelling (UML)), requirement specifications (User stories, functional specifications) Good knowledge of data and the data flows in an investment or asset management environment Data related project experience, including data migration planning, SQL, RDBMS, Oracle, MS SQL server database and ETL knowledge Proven ability to practice contemporary requirements engineering according to several SDLC approaches, especially Agile methods Proven ability to provide accurate estimation of requirements engineering effort needed. Experience of developing test scripts, as well as co-ordinating & completing functional testing. Experience in leading various business readiness activities, such as documenting procedural guides and delivering training to the business. Goal-oriented, proactive, energetic and fully committed to the successful delivery of the product and the team Excellent oral and written communication skills, so as to establish effective and strong relationships with stakeholders, end users, development teams, third parties and vendors Desirable Skills of Business Analyst Previous experience of working with and/or implementing investment management systems, or client relationship management systems Previous programming experience in any of VB, C++, C# Software implementation experience Knowledge of various Microsoft products, for example, SharePoint, VSTS, TFS, .Net Broad experience across Data Management, Data Architecture, Data Migration, Data Quality Management and Information Governance
