That's why we are recruiting an Operational Risk Specialist to play a key part in implementing and providing oversight of our operational risk control framework across Europe. In this role you will constructively challenge 1st line of defence controls and use your experience to identify process improvement opportunities for the business. You will support various departments across the business to ensure compliance with operational risk reporting requirements and establish local reporting practices. By working very closely with the business, you will write narratives and findings on our controls processes and provide support in establishing remediation plans to resolve gaps in operational risk. Building and maintaining effective working relationships with key business partners across diverse geographies and cultures in order to accomplish departmental and corporate objectives will be an important part of this role. Due to this, some travel across Europe may be required for this role. What we're looking for In order to be successful in this role you will be a proven risk management, controls or audit professional with knowledge of control frameworks and control-based testing techniques ideally within the financial services industry. You will have a good understanding of the first, second and third line functions and their impact across people and processes. You'll have the ability and desire to acquire and develop knowledge of international, EU and local regulatory frameworks and guidelines concerning operational risk management. You will also have Ability and desire to acquire and develop knowledge of relevant concepts, methodologies, standards and leading practices in risk management Excellent organizational skills and ability to create and maintain good working relationships with business units and corporate functions. Strong verbal, written and presentation skills; ability to communicate to individuals and groups effortlessly. Strong analytical and documentation skills, including process documentation, as well as acute orientation to detail. Action-oriented and resilient, staying composed and focused under stress remaining comfortable with ambiguity and change Self-motivated and independent problem solver, thriving on new challenges.
