We are currently recruiting for a well-established business based in Bolton who are looking for an experienced Financial Accountant to join their small finance team and be responsible for the reporting of the monthly financials for the largest business within the group. Duties include: -
• Fully responsible for the monthly management accounts pack, including balance sheet, P&L and associated KPI's
• Assist with the monitoring of budgets and the forecasting process
• Build effective relationships with budget holders to work around overhead management, as well work closely with the sales team around margin control
• Contribute to the company Board meetings with analysis of variances and supporting commentary
• Manage the submissions of VAT/HMRC and completion of year end audit packs
• Responsible for the CAPEX reporting and accuracy of the fixed asset register
• Monitor the accuracy of all transactional processes, cash allocation, bank statements, journal entries
• Accruals/Prepayments
• Produce all the EC reports and Intrastat returns The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate: -
• Experienced in production of the month end financial reporting cycle
• Extensive working knowledge of Excel and ERP system
• Possibly Qualified (CIMA/ACCA/AAT) although this is not essential In return the candidate can expect to join a close-knit business where they can have some autonomy around changes in the reporting of the monthly financials, although the business does have a structured approach in the way they work with the Board.
