A small business are looking for a high motivated Bookkeeper on a part time basis. Based in Abingdon this company has exciting growth plans and is offering an extremely varied role.
Your new role
Working as a Bookkeeper you will take ownership of the company's accounts at the transactional level and will assist the part time Finance Director with month end procedures. You will be responsible for processing purchase ledger invoices and payments, raising sales invoices, carrying out credit control activities, bank and credit card reconciliations, posting of accruals and prepayments, VAT return and EC sales list preparation and managing the fixed asset register. You will also carry out ad-hoc office administration duties.
What you'll need to succeed
You will need to be a highly self-motivated individual that is capable of carrying out tasks as an individual. You will need to have worked in a similar finance position with a board understanding of transactional accounting duties. A good understanding of excel is required and experience using SAGE is desirable.
