We are looking for a Senior Finance Analyst to provide business analysis to support the DFPP in servicing the Finance Committee, Investment Committee, Scheme Risk Appraisal Panel (SRAP), and Network Homes' (Network) Board. They will need to provide insightful information for decision support, provide analysis for business change for existing and future business activity and to provide data and analysis to support Network's long term strategy, ensure rents are set correctly and in accordance with Homes England (HE) regulation. The succesful candidate will also manage and develop the Finance Analyst. Requirements The primary objective of this role is to provide high level business analysis and support to the DFPP To provide a bridge between Finance and Development teams to evaluate impact of new developments in the HE\Greater London Authority (GLA) programme, commercial activity and new bids. Provide tax advice to Development on VAT, SDLT and Corporation Tax, liaising with external tax consultants where necessary Regeneration schemes: To lead analysis on monitoring existing regeneration scheme activity. Providing finance support, including analysis and calculations for the HE\GLA on regeneration bids and their impact on the BP New Rent regime: Provide analysis and modelling necessary, working with Development, to develop and deliver calculations and spreadsheets for the new rent regime to support Networks HE\GLA Bid strategy. To assist in the calculation of target and affordable rentsEnsure rents are validated correctly in respect of first lets, rent relets and rent reviews, acting as an organisational authority on rent regulation. Maintain the Rent Control Manual (RCM) In-Organic Growth: Provide analysis and modelling necessary to evaluate mergers and acquisitions and their impact on the BP. Working with Development on due diligence. New development: Use investment appraisal software and, BRIXX etc. to evaluate all proposed new development, ensuring financial parameters are met and assess impact on Network's' BP. Review Board Reports and provide financial analysis Business Plan: Produce and business plans for Network and it's subsidiaries using Brixx and complete the regulatory FFR return. HE/GLA Programme: Analyse output from sequel on the HE /GLA programme input into Brixx to produce quarterly reports for HE/GLA reviews. Cashflows: Ensure that monthly cashflows from Development are accurate, liaise with Development to produce complete monthly cashflows for Treasury enabling efficient use of funds and produce the Quarterly NROSH return. Commercial activity: Evaluate the impact of undertaking commercial activity, such as market rent, commercial rents etc. on Network. Monitor the use of SPV's and DevCos, analysing impact of sales performance on capacity and revenue. Asset Management modelling: Liaise with Asset Management to ensure that up to date repairs information is included in the BP. Analyse impact of asset management strategy on the BP. Proactively participate in staff engagement activities; e.g. roadshows, staff conferences, café consultations / people management group sessions and managers' events The role supports the DFPP to evaluate the impact of projects, including new development, change initiatives, asset management, in-organic growth, due diligence and HE programme on Group business plans (BP). To support the DFPP to deliver a number of key business strategies, such as, impact of the HE/GLA programme, regeneration projects, commercial activity, funding requirements, bid analysis, impact of asset management strategy, new rent regime and in-organic growth. The role supports the objectives of the DFPP, in delivering capacity within Network's teams to undertake the necessary service improvements, the timeframe for such improvements being 6 months to 24 months depending on their complexity, and priorities for other planned system and service improvements across Network. Through delivery of key objectives, improve financial planning and analysis within the organisation through detailed analytics, models and insightful reporting. Liaise with Joint Venture (JV) partners on financial matters. Embrace, champion, role-model and uphold the culture, values and behaviours that drive the achievement of the organisation's ambitions and goals. Education Preferred: Educated to degree level Qualified CIMA/ACCA or equivalent, with proven financial analysis experience. Knowledge and Skills Required Financial understanding of the impact of new developments, JV's etc on the financial accounts. Comfortable giving practical guidance to support business decision making. Advanced Excel skills and high standard of general computer literacy. Comfortable working alongside functional experts be able to offer advice and support to non finance colleagues. Quickly get to grips with key business drivers, deliver business plan models to support bids, in-organic growth and commercial activity and be able to deliver to deadlines efficiently through effective time management. Proactive, provide insightful reporting of business performance and provide accurate information. Experience Required Experienced analyst, already well versed in business plans and business facing initiatives. Strong experience of project appraisal and be comfortable evaluating new business opportunities and their impact on the business.
