We now have an opening for a Company Accountant based in our Chawston office. JOB ROLE: Reporting to the Group Financial Controller, the Company Accountant will have primary responsibility for preparing accurate monthly management accounts. The post holder will deal with HMRC and payroll, as well as have responsibility for sales and purchase ledger management, and statutory accounts for the Stonbury Group of companies. The Company Accountant will also be required to assist with the implementation of strategic projects within the team. KEY

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Manage the day to day smooth running of a busy accounts department Prepare accurate monthly management accounts for the Stonbury group of companies in line with a monthly time table Ensure accounting processes for payroll, purchase ledger, sales ledger and accounting adjustments are fit for purpose Support, manage and mentor the accounts team PERSON: You will be a qualified financial accountant who is able to prove a strong personal commitment to the accuracy of accounting processes, as well as possess the ability to engage your team to deliver a high volume of financial transactions in a timely manner. You will have demonstrable experience of leading a successful team and the ability to build effective working relationships quickly. You will also be motivated to deliver efficiencies in a rapidly changing environment. REQUIREMENTS: CIMA/ACCA/ACA Qualified Accountant Minimum of 5 years' post-qualification experience Tenacious self-starter with the ability to work alone using initiative to solve problems and complete daily tasks Organised, focused and self-determined Previous experience of managing staff Able to work flexibly in line with business requirements with a willingness to learn and adapt to change Proven planning and organisation skills with the ability to prioritise workloads and manage competing and conflicting deadlines Strong IT skills, in particular MS Excel Experience of Sage (or equivalent) accounting packages Excellent communicator, able to deal confidently with Directors and staff face-to-face, in writing and on the telephone A positive attitude and commitment to consistently maintaining the Stonbury brand Car driver due to rural location of office and occasional travel to other offices EMPLOYMENT PACKAGE: Our reputation is reinforced by the amazing people who work for us.
