Finance Controller Working closely with the Directors and Senior Management Team to ensure high levels of service your role as Finance Controller will encompasses the responsibility and management for Finance, HR, Payroll & IT Office Services and for the Company Business Planning process. As an integral member of the leadership team, supported by a team of Managers and Supervisors, you will be part of building operational excellence and delivering added value to existing functions of this Swindon based manufacturing company.
• To manage the Business's finances, making sure processes and plans are developed and implemented and budgets reviewed.
• Provide Financial reporting both internally and to global Headquarters
• Ensure compliance with UK financial and Company reporting and manage audits, stock takes and other regulatory requirements
• To manage staff and monitor their performance through regular meetings and reviews
• Ensure Finance, Human Resources, Payroll and IT Policies are current, approved and meet the company direction and leadership within the business, so to achieve the strategic and business objectives
• Ensure delivery of daily HR operational support to the business as a whole and maintain a positive employee relations environment and promote a healthy, high performance culture within the business
• To provide support and direction to the IT Office Systems function
• Report on department activities on a regular basis to the Senior Management team, ensuring accurate and timely reporting of the relevant Key Performance Indicators
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure optimal performance
• Financial forecasting and planning in line with the Business Plan
• Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements across HR, Pensions, Data Protection, H&S, Environment, Finance and IT including Company Secretariat duties and compliance with Company Law
• The role also covers Company Secretariat, Business Risk and Legal Compliance. As well as being fully qualified with CIMA or ACCA, you will have the ability to demonstrate that you have delivered change and results across a demanding agenda and should possess diplomacy, meticulous attention to detail, good numerical, organizational and time management skills and a genuine interest in business. Previous experience of a lean manufacturing environment is highly desirable. A sound working knowledge of UK finance & employment legislation and experience in practical handling of employee relations issues will stand you steadfast against any competition.
