Chess are currently looking to recruit an Assistant Accountant to join their Group Finance Team in Alderley Edge. "a GREAT place to work, a GREAT place to be a customer" Duties to include but not restricted to: General accounts duties Carrying out daily finance tasks for the wider Group, including credit checks and processing credit notes for customers Managing the collation of invoices from different sources and distributing for authorisation Coding and posting purchase invoices into Sage 200 Supplier statement reconciliations Handling and tracking purchase order requests from across the business Dealing with supplier queries Daily bank reconciliations and processing cash book transactions Balance sheet reconciliations You will need to demonstrate: Attention to detail Understanding of accounting basics Ability to plan and prioritise workload efficiently and successfully perform duties under pressure Ability to work well in a team environment Knowledge of Microsoft Excel including VLOOKUP's and Pivot Tables Desirable Skills: Completed or working towards AAT, but this is not essential Knowledge of Sage 200 preferred, but this is not essential Package Details: Basic

salary:
Between £18,000 - £21,000 depending on experience. Hours: 37½ hours per week Monday to Friday, normal office hours apply. Holiday Allowance: 20 days paid holiday p.a. increased upon anniversaries, ultimately to 24 days p.a., plus public holidays.
