Brand new Finance Business Partner role within a large and complex Finance Shared Service Centre in Walsall on a 6 month fixed term contract. This role requires someone with an outgoing personality as it requires someone who is comfortable getting out and about in the business and not sat behind a desk crunching numbers. The Finance Business Partner will be working with a commercially focussed finance team. The Finance Business Partner will be reporting into the Financial Controller and working very closely with the account managers who manage their relationships with corporate customers, very often supporting them at customer meetings. As well as the core finance responsibilities our team is also responsible for all pricing activity relating to corporate customers Finance Business Partners Key Responsibilities will include: Supporting the account manager at customer meetings Analysing profitability and identifying opportunities to improve profitability performance Preparing pricing for potential new customers, and undertaking sign off sessions with people at the relevant authority level Supporting contract production and implementation of finance processes for new business wins Producing reliable forecasts and budgets Highlighting any risks and opportunities that exist on accounts Managing revenue deferrals to ensure that we have appropriate balance sheet provisions Ensuring appropriate accruals are made Undertaking analysis of actual results vs budget and forecasts Preparing reports for distribution to the commercial team Supporting production of weekly forecasts and cashflow projections Presenting at commercial team meetings The successful Finance Business Partner will be: Qualified accountant, either CIMA, ACCA or ACA with relevant experience in a commercially focussed finance team Will have strong communication skills, particularly with non finance colleagues.
