About The Role As a Finance Business Partner you will be expected to provide support to Astronomy Division and cross-funding programmes. You are expected to develop a thorough understanding of all aspects of Astronomy and Cross Funding activities from a financial perspective and become well integrated with the department, building and maintaining excellent working relationships with its senior management team and project managers. You will also need to play an important role within PD Finance team which provides the directorate with a high quality service in relation to financial planning and management, engaging closely with the PD management team. You are expected to communicate effectively within the wider Finance team in order to coordinate departmental finances with STFC's overall financial planning and management. About You To qualify for this role you will need to have a professional accounting qualification or qualified by substantial financial experience and experience in service delivery and problem-solving. Additionally you will need management accountancy experience and a broad knowledge of accounting procedures, with an excellent interpersonal and communication skills to deal confidently with staff at all levels and build effective working relationships and networks.
