GiBe Finance are working with a global events business in Richmond to recruit an Assistant Financial Accountant, responsible for VAT returns for 7 UK entities and a further 8 European entities. The business are located a short walk from Richmond train station and also offer a parking permit for the NCP close-by. The Role: Prepare the VAT support for the UK and other European VAT returns Investigate and address any queries arising from the VAT returns Make timely VAT payments Investigate new VAT legislations and VAT on new products, as required Review VAT on exhibition and event set ups Answer business and customer queries about VAT Liaise and act on behalf of the company for VAT reclaims on expenses Prepare monthly VAT reconciliations, including investigating and clearing reconciling items promptly Produce the analysis for indirect tax computations for all group companies Provide cover for other members of the Financial Reporting team including tasks related to bank reconciliations and SOX compliance Liaise with Indirect Tax Department, external advisors, government bodies and auditors, as required Your Profile: Experience and a desire to work in a VAT focussed role Strong communicator - lots of liaison across EMEA region Investigative and problem-solving nature To review the full job description, please Apply Now.
