12 month Maternity contract as Finance Manager - Commercial & MI Reporting, based in Luton for the Market Leading business. You will be accountable for proactively providing robust & insightful tools and reporting to optimise the efficiency and performance of Group Purchasing. Specific focus will be on working with group source markets, MI teams and the IT team to create a consolidated view of business performance for the Group Purchasing team. 12 month Maternity contract as Finance Manager - Commercial & MI Reporting with this Market Leading Company based in Luton. The mission of the Group Purchasing function is to procure, create and then deliver innovative international differentiated products at speed across a diverse range of Markets. As the business continues to build the Group Purchasing function they will move from operating as a set of largely independent sourced markets with common management of procurement towards a more global, integrated function which will accelerate the delivery of the growth plans. Reporting to the Head of Commercial Finance responsibilities will include:- Involved in the design and implementation of the periodical reporting and be expected to provide insightful information for review by the Head of Commercial Finance Responsible for supporting the weekly and monthly reporting packs as well as defining, assessing and implementing a development pipeline to automate our reporting and processes where it is viable to do so Supporting the strategic goals of the function through pro-actively identifying areas to build our reporting capability to support both the directors and purchasing managers Working closely with the project team to specify requirements for the reporting systems, reporting on monthly project performance, supporting trials as well as system testing where appropriate Organising large volumes of information in different formats, interpreting and delivering in a consistent format with the relevant insight Delivering key performance indicators on a periodical and ad hoc basis. This will include but not limited to passenger sales, hotel yield discount levels, cost base movement based on buyer output versus target and prior year, contracting performance, etc. To be successful in this role you will need to have: - Minimum 3 years of experience of working with a finance function or a financial professional Be analytical, accurate, numbers driven and process orientated person Have experience of systems development, building reports and process management Have knowledge of Business Objects report writing, SQL literate, Excel and Powerpoint An understanding of how data warehouses and relational databases work would be a distinct advantage Outstanding commercial acumen Good track record of liaising and negotiating internally and with group stakeholders Role will require some ad hoc international travel If you can commit to the full 12 month duration contact me at
