Central Liverpool Our Client, BDO - an international network of public accounting, is looking to recruit Accounts Assistants to join the Audit Hub based in central Liverpool. This team is one of several Hubs within BDO's rapidly growing Shared Service Centre (SSC). SSC team members work internally within the business providing support to the client facing members of the firm. Responsibilities Role summary: This will be a challenging and rewarding role where you will:
• Support regional client facing audit teams with multiple aspects of the annual audit process (including audit set up, data analysis, report generation etc)
• Work extensively with BDO's proprietary audit support systems and processes
• Deal with internal queries with colleagues and teams across BDO UK
• Provide support to other colleague teams dependent upon seasonality of core work What we're looking for: Technical requirements and professional skills:
• IT skills - strong working knowledge of MS Office and similar desktop applications. Willingness to learn new systems is essential
• Well presented with a professional level of communication - both verbal and written
• Good time management, organisation skills and the ability to prioritise and complete tasks with limited supervision.
• Ability to work well in a team environment.
• Ability to use own initiative and take a flexible approach.
• Experience in either audit or finance is advantageous.
• No training contract is provided with this role, although it is an excellent first step into the accountancy profession and provides relevant experience. Role specific training is provided however. If you have the skills and experiences required for this position please apply online today
