Salary:
£36,000 - £38,000 Based In Brentford Mon-Fri 9.00am - 5.30pm Immediate start The company is currently going through a new structure, and a new role has arisen. The organisation is in the process of going through significant change, with roles and responsibilities in the Credit Control team being moved to a Shared Service Centre in Warsaw. As part of this change the organisation is looking to restructure the Credit Control function in order to make a significant improvement to the collectability of debt. The person selected for this role will be the key owner of transforming this finance function. The successful candidate will be reporting to the Finance and Administration Manager, the Credit Control Supervisor is responsible for the Cash Collection process for the UK, ROI and some minor Inter-company items. This includes items for capital equipment, service, consumables and parts. 1- 2 people based in Brentford report to the CCS as well as off-shore support in the Shared Service Centre in Warsaw. The role is an extremely broad based "hands on" role, with a wide remit and includes but is not limited to, responsibility for all aspects of the Credit Control Team as well as assisting other financial functions for the business and the commercial side JOB DESCRIPTION Developing various reports to share with key people to enable the reduction in the AR balance going forward. Participation in Industry related credit monitoring group. Presentations to interested parties within the Company. Acting as Local Process Owner for the Accounts Receivable function. Trade debtor and Debtor days budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis. Such other duties as may be necessary. Key Responsibilities Responsible for the end to end Accounts Receivable Debt Collection process including legal instruction with the goal of improving the collectability of debt as well as driving down the debtor days. Team of 1-2 people. Relationship and liaison with the Shared Service Centre which perform some back office functions for the Credit Control Team. A close working relationship with the sales force is essential. Strategic policy evolution with justification in a global setting. Master Data responsibility. Ledger reviews with credit controller and FAM, to discuss overdue and problem accounts, review credit limits, accounts on hold, over limit and terms including setting key targets for the team. Communicate with priority customers when necessary. Skills Degree educated candidate with good academics and a broad commercial finance skill set with experience of leading a small credit control team who have made significant improvements to the collectability of debt and driven down the debtor days. 2 years of working within Credit Control Degree Educated Essential to have had significant SAP experience and be very competent with this software platform. Competent IT systems knowledge, Excel and Business insight experience will be presumed. Experience of developing high quality financial processes from conception to launch Solid experience of leading the development of Credit Control best practice. A confident self-starter with excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to develop and build strong relationships across all levels. The ideal candidate will be an excellent communicator, capable of providing both real challenge and wise counsel to the board and should be capable of further progression within the Group. Must demonstrate first-class technical and analytical skills combined with real commercial pragmatism in a cash constrained business and used to delivering to tight deadlines. Ideal but not essential to have some experience obtained in international manufacturing/costing based businesses. German speaking would be an advantage but not essential.
