My client is an established and successful company and part of a larger group entity. The Financial Controller role will report to the FD and manage all aspects of the finance function including direct management of the team of junior finance staff. You will be responsible for all routines including AP/AR, Credit Control, monthly reporting, statutory returns, budgets and forecasts. This is a truly end-to-end role. Above and beyond the routines, the Financial Controller will partner the FD in implementing systems and procedures with a view to updating the processes and enabling future efficiencies. The role also includes extensive partnering with the wider business and providing advice and guidance on commercial decisions from a finance perspective. You will be a qualified accountant with a hands-on approach. You will have been responsible for looking after a team, have strong systems including excel and have the ability and experience to work autonomously. This is the perfect role for a qualified accountant to step up into their first FC position. Equally, if you are a Finance Manager/Financial Controller, have managed a team and have had exposure to the full finance function and associated tasks, this could be the ideal next move.
