Hays Accountancy & Finance are recruiting on an exclusive basis for a high-calibre, experienced Management Accountant for a prestigious organisation based in Sheffield. This organisation has a rich and established history across multiple UK sites and are looking for an experienced finance professional to join the team in Sheffield for a 12 - 13 month maternity cover contract.

Your new role
You will join a small but established and focused Finance team in a position which will give you an excellent level of exposure within the business. As a Management Accountant, you will be tasked with supporting the financial health and accountancy aspects of the organisation.
Specifically, you will focus on management accounts, including month and week end reporting, budgets, company expenses and general reporting.

Your role will include:

• Working as part of a team of three (the Management Accountant plus two Finance Assistants)
• Managing the two other members of the team, providing appraisals and reviews
• Ensuring the accuracy of the trial balance
• Monthly management accounts
• Taking full control of the accounts for organisation
• Making sure deadlines for producing management accounts are met
• Presenting management accounts at monthly meetings

What you'll need to succeed
To succeed in this varied and multi-faceted role you should be experienced in a similar position and preferably used Sage 50 software alongside good communication and excel skills with the ability to demonstrate professionalism at all times.

What you'll get in return
In return for 37.5 hours per week based in Sheffield, you will receive a salary of c£36,000. Further benefits include flexible working hours, a very competitive pension and holiday package of 26 days. There is also an option to work the hours over 4 days.
