I'm recruiting for a Product Compliance Officer, with a strong background in Compliance, to join a European market leader in the manufacturing industry. Reporting to the Compliance/Legal Director Europe based in the Netherlands, you perform a variety of assignments ensuring that the company brings safe and compliant products to the UK/EU market; you ensure compliance with regulations, directives, industry standards and company standards. You monitor that products have been reviewed, tested and assessed against compliance with European legislation and/or European product safety best practices. You are working closely with an international team of highly motivated product compliance engineers, located in Shanghai and in the Netherlands. Job

Responsibilities:
Perform regulatory reviews to ensure compliance with applicable regulations and standards Assist in the development and implementation of compliance programs. Assist and support in the creation and implementation of Compliance & GMP guidelines for our UK manufacturing plant Support and ensure that operating manuals and procedural protocols stay current when regulations change Implement compliance requirements to make sure the products delivered meet compliance requirements Support creation of procedures and guidelines to ensure that UK/EU governmental and set industry regulations/legislation's are met by our manufacturers You coordinate information between departments to make sure the business brings compliant products to the European market Work with international compliance, PD and Category teams to review all new launches as well as inline items to identify all applicable corresponding test requirements Respond to compliance inquiries from our sales offices and completes required compliance documentation Coordinate with test laboratories on all testing activities ( product analysis, costing, schedule, follow-up) to ensure timely and cost-effective product testing Technical File review, creation, update, and maintenance of REACH/ROHS technical files in line with the EU /UK regulatory requirements Assist in the continuous improvement and maintenance of the compliance database Assist in the development of strategies and risk assessments to meet compliance standards and regulations Perform other product compliance tasks as assigned Person Specification: Manufacturing background and higher professional educational desirable Ability to operate in an international/matrixed environment Ability to understand and convey complex compliance topics clearly and concisely Familiarity/ Experience with EU/UK product compliance legislation and processes and best practices Be a teamplayer within the companies' international compliance team environment Demonstrate effective oral and written communication skills Flexibility in accepting modifications to project priorities and compliance strategies.
