In what is part growth and part succession planning we are looking for a qualified Auditor who wishes to continue with their specialism or combine with accounting and advisory on a portfolio of Owner Managed Businesses. Your position will see you responsible for: Managing a client portfolio (audit and non-audit) in a variety of sectors Looking after client relationships in an advisory capacity Working closely with other regional specialists in delivering a well-rounded service to those clients Working towards achieving RI status Resolving audit/disclosure queries raised by the team/client Awareness of compliance issues and escalation as appropriate Providing an overview of business performance to client and identify trends and issues from accounts Deputising for Partners and liaise with other staff where appropriate to ensure all are kept up to date with relevant issues Overseeing all client billing for the team. Being part of the local business development team and enjoying the opportunity to network Line management of audit/accounts personnel along with involvement in recruitment. Applicants must be qualified ACA/ACCA preferably from a Big 4, national or a larger Independent firm with a good working knowledge of FRS102. Furthermore we are seeking someone with a desire to build client relationships at the same time as look for new business opportunities with the aim of growing and developing a team. The successful candidate must have strong audit experience along with significant exposure in accounts preparation and disclosures including groups. A demonstrable working knowledge of accounting standards and their application is expected as is the awareness at Partner level to understand the skill requirements of staff at various levels to ensure work is undertaken by the appropriate individual. To truly succeed as a Partner within the firm you must possess and articulate strong communication skills in order to liaise with clients, Partners, staff and other professionals. This is something that must come naturally as is your commercial awareness to be able to understand your clients, exceed their expectations and deliver on results. Ultimately we are looking for someone who is pro-active in driving their own career and with the desire to get involved in business development activities from preparation of proposals to the delivery of presentations.
