Duties and

responsibilities:
Taking responsibility for the filing of timely and accurate statutory accounts, while ensuring compliance with all financial policies and procedures and maintaining the integrity of all accounting information Setting up and maintaining an appropriate nominal ledger structure Leading the annual audit process Monitoring and forecasting of working capital to ensure that sufficient funds are available to meet ongoing operational and capital investment requirements Managing debtors, assessing risks to minimise bad debts Carrying out reconciliation of all Balance Sheet accounts Maintaining the list of fixed assets and related depreciation Overseeing all Finance processes, including set up of new clients Running of monthly payroll, PSA and PAYE reporting and control Assisting employees with salaries / wages and PAYE related queries Identifying opportunities for cost saving, and delivering strategic direction Proactively generating a variety of business reports for the Senior Management Team in relation to Expense vs Budget, P&L, Productivity, KPIs, Pensions as well as other ad-hoc requests Advising the business on the financial implications of projects and/or proposed process changes Effectively line managing the Finance team, setting clear objectives / KPIs and providing supportive coaching and development. Performing people management duties such as Payroll reporting, disciplinaries, as well as sickness, absence and attendance monitoring Skills and experience required: Qualification in Accountancy, Management Accounting or Corporate Finance Proven experience of confidently and innovatively run the complete finance function within a high-growth medium-sized business (£10m-£50m turnover) Keen to contribute to the further development and progression of the business, with examples of successful innovations you have made in previous roles Demonstrable skills in statutory accounting, cash management and treasury Adept at providing detailed business analysis Successful background in team management as a supportive and inspiring leader Conveys a consistently 'can-do' approach to the role, tackling business challenges with enthusiasm, humour and positivity Salary and benefits: £70,000 - £90,000 Healthcare plan Enjoyable and flexible working environment Monthly team lunch 5% matched contribution pension Company laptop
