Job Title Pensions Consultant Location Leicester Salary Negotiable The Role We are looking for an experienced Pensions Consultant to join a growing HR service centre in Leicester, on a permanent basis. In this role, you will be providing advice on retirement provision to organisations and be involved in setting up and running occupational pension schemes on behalf of business. Other responsibilities will include: Reviewing a client organisation's current pension provision for its staff members; Researching the financial market for suitable products and investments funds; Explaining complex information to clients and recommending options; Setting up and running pensions schemes on behalf of organisations; Sourcing appropriate investment funds and designing a pension scheme and benefits package to meet the needs of clients; Calculating and reviewing the structure, value and performance of funds; Overseeing the administration of pension schemes; Providing regular reports to pension managers and trustees; Attending meetings with fund managers, trustees, employee representatives and other professionals; Issuing regular statements to scheme members; Helping clients to develop strategies to promote the benefits of their schemes to members; Keeping up to date with developments in, and changes to, pension legislation; Managing the relationship with clients to ensure they are happy with the scheme and investments. The Candidate You will be educated to degree level and have previous experience in a pension environment, as well as the following: Qualifications by the Pensions Management Institute (PMI) or the Chartered Insurance Institute (CII) and The Pensions and Lifetime Savings Association (ideal); The ability to analyse and research information; The ability to explain complex information clearly and simply; Strong numerical and IT skills; A high level of accuracy and attention to detail; Sales, negotiating and influencing skills; A high level of professionalism and personal integrity; An interest in financial products, services and markets
