The company is a dynamic and expanding insurance organisation, who have become market leaders within their field. They currently have a vacancy for a Compliance Manager to join their management team with the main responsibility to ensure the company is fully compliant with FCA regulations. The objective of this role is to provide compliance and risk advice and guidance to key stakeholders within business, ensuring risks and issues across the business are appropriately identified and managed. responsibilities:
Apportion the significant responsibilities among the firm's directors and senior managers so that it is clear who has which responsibilities, and that the business and affairs of the firm can be adequately monitored and controlled. Set up, monitor and maintain adequate and appropriate systems and controls to ensure that the firm meets its regulatory requirements. Manage the regulatory requirements stemming from the FCA rules relating to general insurance/consumer credit activities. Oversee the compliance plan for the company to ensure it is managed in accordance with the company objectives. Provide advice and, as necessary, management of any parts of the FCA compliance plan and to report progress to the board of the company on a regular basis. Work with stakeholders, directly and through the compliance team to propose and agree actions required to mitigate key risks. Enhance and maintain a compliance culture. Lead and oversee delivery of Compliance training and awareness activities. Represent compliance at relevant meetings and committees and third-party providers and partners. Adhere to FCA principles and act as a role model for the company. Take responsibility for horizon scanning and leading action required as a result of regulatory change. Audit and review internal departments, work with key stakeholders to improve processes. To apply for this role, it is essential you have Compliance Manager/Officer experience within an FCA regulated environment. You will also have a strong technical background of FCA regulatory requirements across General Insurance, a strong understanding of a range of compliance frameworks. It is also important you have the ability to build successful relationships with a number of senior stakeholders and be able to operate effectively within a fast-paced organisation.
