The Payroll Manager will be responsible for management of the end to end payroll process within the UK and across Europe, managing a small team of two and ensuring robust financial and legal controls. responsibilities:
Day to day management of a team of two Payroll Assistants Manage the relationships with the various payroll providers to ensure that they are providing accurate and timely reporting and information Validate service levels and drive compliance to service levels through monthly reporting Ensure that the payroll providers pro-actively advise us regarding tax and legislation in European countries to guarantee that we understand and account for liabilities correctly Work closely with the HR team to integrate systems and processes between the HR and Payroll teams Ensure relevant compliance for tax, NI across all payrolls Responsible for the production of accurate balance sheet reconciliations across Payroll to the agreed timetable Ensure internal processes in place to limit payroll errors Develop and implement robust checks for each payroll cycle to demonstrate checks and sign off Regularly review regulations to ensure pay and benefit policies and procedures are up to date and compliant Experience/Skills required: Experience of end to end payroll processing Proficiency with payroll software Understanding of European Payroll Strong knowledge of regulations to ensure compliance Experience of managing Ability to work under pressure Intermediate to Advanced Excel skills Proven experience of working in a fast paced environment Salary/Benefits The role of Payroll Manager will have a salary of £45,000 plus bonus, pension, medical scheme, free parking and office hours are 9am to 5.00.
