Our client a fast moving established firm of Accountants have a new vacancy and are seeking an Accounts Assistant to work in a continually growing accounts team. This business has been operating for a number of years and the Partners have created and built a very enjoyable place of work, the team pull together at all levels and provide a quality service to their clients, whilst a first class working environment for the employees. You will need to have a good grounding in accounts with all round experience gained in an Accountancy Practice office and accounts environment and can demonstrate how you have worked hard and smart to date. You will carry out many tasks and have many responsibilities, where you work with the team, but have autonomy too. Ideally you will be studying for an accounts qualification, which could ideally be AAT (or be qualified) or an equivalent qualification. They would consider someone who is qualified by experience and having worked in Practice for some years, looking for a new challenge and not studying. You will be a confident communicator as you will be speaking to clients and working closely with external customers, professional people as well as internal contacts. You will have excellent IT skills and a strong self motivating and "cando" personality. An interest in progressing to be a fully qualified accountant and continuing a successful career in future roles is ideal but if you are QBE my client will consider your work history. You must be able to work in small teams, as there are a small number of people working for this company, however it is a friendly, amicable environment and a good place to work where you will be encouraged to progress your accountancy career and studies (if appropriate). This business has grown and expanded and is continuing to extend and develop their client base, so it is expected that your role will grow alongside your career. You will be a self starter, self motivated and be able to work unsupervised in the main but mentored, given support and supervision where required. This is an ideal role for a studier, who can demonstrate that they are keen to settle into a good company and pursue an accountancy career.
