The Company REED Accountancy are delighted to be recruiting on behalf of our client, a leading FMCG distributor in Belfast who require a Financial Analyst to join their busy accounts team. This company is conveniently located on a bus route and offers free parking. The Role Your main responsibility will be to support the division in all areas of margin, stock loss and profitability reporting. You will be responsible for the production and analysis of key reports on margin, stock loss and other profitability areas to drive the business and provide value-adding management information required by senior management. Duties include, but are not limited to: Preparation of weekly margin reports with detailed supporting analysis and commentary Working with senior management to develop and maintain a suite of reports to support the division Responding to queries from Finance & Operations e.g. Variance Analysis Provide financial information for inclusion in board reports and department meetings Assisting with forecasting and budgeting on income and scan margin areas Various degrees of reporting and analysis on stock The Person The desired applicant will ideally present most if not all the following essential criteria : A degree in a Finance-related subject e.g. Accountancy, Economics, Finance etc. Previous experience working in a commercial finance function Strong IT Skills (in particular, MS Excel and dealing with large data sets) Excellent communication skills The following criteria would also be highly desirable : Part Qualified or motivated to begin working towards an accountancy qualification e.g. ACCA / ACA / CIMA Previous experience of management accounting and variance analysis Previous experience of budget/forecast preparation Previous experience in the retail or FMCG sector Get in Touch For more information regarding this role, please contact Chris Burns on where I will be happy to discuss more information in complete confidence.
