A unique and rarely available opportunity has arisen for an Assistant Finance Manager to join a national business based centrally in Harlow. Reporting to the Finance Manager and assisting with the management of a forward thinking team, this role is evolving and will ensure key delivery of financial procedures for the board. This varied role will involve but not be limited to:
• Production and timely delivery of weekly/monthly/tactical reporting
• Managing and leading the team to ensure the delivery of financial services
• Creating a management reporting network
• Creating and implementing a training program to create financial awareness
• Review and document key operational procedures
• Supporting the finance manager with the production of the annual budget and quarterly forecastcycle
• Assisting in leading the delivery of the 3 year business plan
• Working closely with cross functional departments to ensure best service delivery
• Represent the finance team at the weekly and monthly meetings
• Drive forward profit opportunities on capital projects
• Effective forecasting
• Business performance reporting
• Production and analysis of monthly management results, reviewing variances to flash
• Driving forward cost reduction initiatives by influencing and building strong working relationships The ideal candidate will be part qualified with experience gained in a similar role, strong IT skills including Microsoft Excel and a confident approach with the ability to manage and interact with staff at varying levels. Ideally you will also have experience gained in a Retail/Distribution background and have a strong commercial approach as this role will assist with the development of reporting functions and an operational team.
