Wyevale Garden Centres has an exciting new job opportunity for an Accounts Payable Team Leader to join our Finance team on a Fixed Term Contract till the end of December 2019. Wyevale garden centres is the biggest, best known retailer in the gardening industry employing over 4000 colleagues across the UK. We have strong roots dating back to 1932 and an ambitious change agenda. Job

responsibilities:

• Lead and support a small AP team
• Introduce training and development strategies, including assisting in monitoring team workloads.
• Invoice processing
• Review, process and pay employee expenses
• Resolve any supplier and internal business queries in a timely fashion
• Project reporting - process and produce documents dealing with finances, reporting and budgets
• Ensure the accuracy of the entire process of supplier payments within agreed timescales
• Completion of weekly / monthly payment runs in accordance with payment schedule
• Cash monitoring to ensure prompt payments and support cash flow forecasting
• Work and collaborate well with all stakeholders (e.g. Finance Department, IT, Vendors etc.) to ensure all business needs constantly met Key skills:
• Accounts payable experience is essential, ideally gained as a team leader of accounts payable
• Retail head office experience is desirable
• Dealing with automated invoice processing
• Good communication skills and the ability to communicate complex analytical results, both written and verbally, in a clear and easy-to-understand way
• Ideally to have experience in Microsoft Dynamics AX
• Strong reporting and tracking experience
• The desired candidate should have strong data stewardship and quality management background, ideally within the Retail industry
• Able to successfully adjust to multiple business demands and shifting priorities
• Good Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills
