Group Financial Accountant £50k to £55k Bens Leicester City Centre The Opportunity A PE backed, successful company with a strong presence in their market sector are seeking an experienced and qualified Financial Accountant to join their team. Reporting to the Group FC, managing a team of two, undertaking control of statutory reporting, being responsible for ensuring a robust financial control framework Key Accountability: Reporting and accounting as per regulatory and legal requirements including taxation, annual accounts. Acting as the leading interface between the Company and auditors and tax advisors. Preparation/review of statutory accounts and Tax computations in an acquisitive business with a large number of statutory entities. Managing all treasury activities, including cash forecasts and loan and related party facilities Closely monitor working capital via the accounts payable and accounts receivable teams Overseeing payment of suppliers, staff expenses, other expenditure and ensuring that we have internal policies to support this Robust balance sheet reconciliation reviews on all entities. Maintaining and improving the financial control environment. Management accounting for 6 Special Purpose Companies (SPCs), including budgets, forecasts and variance analysis Influencing and providing financial support to decision making across the company. Assist in preparing and presenting financial information for management and shareholders, including Group reporting. Ensure good governance and compliance and co-ordinating the Company's risk management. Integration of acquisitions and involvement in completion accounts preparation/review. Experience of acquisition accounting essential. Ensure all areas of compliance are properly prepared and submitted within defined time limits (VAT, CIS, P11d, etc) Involvement in project work as and when required. Team management and engagement. The Candidate The ideal candidate will be a qualified accountant ACA or ACCA with 3-5 years PQE. Technically solid, with experience of Group consolidations and acquisition accounting. Comfortable running and motivating a small finance team, being hands on and also running project work as required. Enthusiastic, driven and self-motivated, with solid commercial acumen. Excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills are essential.
