You will join us on a full time, 7 month contract and in return, we are offering acompetitive salary of £25,500 - £29,500 per annum plus benefits. You will be working within a small finance team in academic journals, you'll be playing an integral role within the team and also working with editors to complete the proprietor accounts. You will be the main contact for reporting with our society partners working closely and managing the relationships accordingly. The journals finance team is responsible for the maintenance and controls of its own finance systems as well as preparation of its own profit and loss account and balance sheet. As part of the role you will maintain the idocuments system, of which you will be required to interact with all internals users as and when required. There will be regular contact with our operational stakeholders such as customer services, editorial, sales and business development teams around operational expenditure reporting. Key duties and responsibilities of our Assistant Management Accountant: - Assist with creation and reconciliation of customer accounts. - Creating and maintaining monthly aged debtor/credit reports. - Chasing unpaid invoices by phone and email. - Dealing with any queries and resolving on a timely basis. - Maintaining up to date notes against each customer detailing actions taken and to be taken. - Sending invoices and statements as requested, by customers. - Other ad-hoc duties when required. What we are looking for in our Assistant Management Accountant: - Newly or part qualified accountant (ACCA, ACA or CIMA) - Proven track record of working within management accounts - Very strong excel skills - Strong team player - Good communications and interpersonal skills - you will be working with multiple teams, offering excellent communication lines and a clear sense of direction - Working knowledge of SAP would be beneficial - Good time management skills, possessing the ability to prioritise work to meet deadlines Why not click 'apply' now?
