Full time permanent Finance Director Job in city centre Perth location, circa £55,000 DOE

Your new company
Hays Senior Finance are excited to exclusively partner with an established business within the Legal Sector who are seeking a Finance Director to join their team in Perth. The role has arisen due to retirement and the client are now looking for someone equally experienced to hit the ground running on a full-time, permanent basis. Salary is upwards circa £50,000 depending on experience.

Your new role
Reporting to the Partners you will have a hands-on role leading all aspects of the finance function as well undertaking the remit of Company Secretary. Although predominantly based in Perth you will be required to regularly travel between the Perth & Dundee offices to manage the finance teams in both locations. You will be responsible for ensuring that all cash administration confirms to the Law Society of Scotland and so previous Law experience would be an advantage but not essential. You will also be responsible for preparing the firm's annual budget and monthly management accounts, monitoring and reporting the firm's financial performance, preparing monthly reports for Partners giving a full financial summary looking at; KPI's, Top Ten Most Exposed, WIP, Fees, Outlays, Aged Debt and Aged WIP. Going in to more detail on general responsibilities; You will be involved in staff salaries, pensions, partner drawings, the review and analysis of financial administration policies and procedures in line with quality standards and best practice, Purchase Ledger, VAT returns, annual insurance renewal.

What you'll need to succeed
You will be a QBE or Qualified Accountant / Financial Controller or current Finance Director who has experience working with SME businesses, looking to step into a very hand on role and who is willing to pick up ad-hoc business duties. You will be an excellent communicator with good inter-personal skills seeking a close-knit family run business culture. Although not essential the ideal candidate will have experience working within a Law environment with estate management experience.
