Financial Accountant

Your new company

My client is a central government organisation based in Central London. They are currently recruiting for a Financial Accountant on a permanent basis.

Your new role

Reporting to the Head of Financial Reporting and CFO you will be responsible for leading on the preparation of statutory financial accounts and preparation of the primary financial statements and associated accounting notes. You will be responsible for submission of consolidation returns and liaison with the financial accounts team. Furthermore, you will be responsible for monthly reconciliation of income, including expenses re-charges and responding to licensing queries. In addition, you will be responsible for managing the general ledger and ensure effective operation of key accounts as well as production of monthly balance sheets.

What you'll need to succeed

It is essential to be a qualified (ACA/ACCA/ICAEW) accountant and have experience of preparing UK annual accounts. It is essential to have experience in preparing annual statutory accounts in accordance with IFRS and demonstrate an understanding of government accounting practices and policies.

What you'll get in return
