Description

  • Ensure the technical accounting / finance application and other specialist accounting and funding arrangements are correctly incorporated into existing contract accounting and all tenders including primary point of contract for liaison with Group treasury and Group Tax
  • To produce timely and accurate financial information for the contracts, including contract management accounts, Annual Budget, Quarterly Forecasts and Contract Review Financial data for Marine Training business unit.
  • Ensure the technical accounting / finance application and other specialist accounting and funding arrangements are correctly incorporated into existing contract accounting and all tenders including primary point of contract for liaison with Group treasury and Group Tax
  • To own and manage and ensure the financial integrity of the detailed financial models for the contract, updating for budget and forecast processes including balance sheet assumptions.
  • Responsibility and accountability for the production of timely and accurate financial information for the contract, including contract management accounts, forecast information, annual financial budgets/assumptions and strategic plans.
  • To ensure the production and analysis and commentary on the performance of the contracts for inclusion in the Finance Monthly report, Contract Review reports, Programme Review reports and any other as required.
  • To ensure management and delivery of all contractual financial reporting requirements including but not limited to Quarterly Financial Reporting, Cost Certificates, QMAC and KPIs and contract performance measures (CPMs).
  • Responsibility for EAC management including Internal Reporting, External reporting, Management accounts, billing, and work breakdown structure
  • To support in the preparation, review and management of the contract risk register.
  • Responsibility for the production of annual financial budgets and quarterly forecasts across operational contracts, documenting all the key assumptions including opportunities or risks
  • Responsibility and Financial interface and ownership for the New Business Budget and Forecasting requirements (including stakeholder engagement, preparation and presentation of material and reconciliation against the Bid Pipeline repository)
  • Review of the debtors and creditors including ageing and issue resolution.
  • Monthly reconciliation of the Orderbook for the contract
  • Effective relationship across internal and external stakeholders including Babcock functions , customers and suppliers
  • Line management and development
