Hays Accountancy & Finance are recruiting on behalf of their client for a permanent Finance Assistant based on the outskirts of Dundee. Salary is negotiable depending on experience + competitive pension and 33 days annual leave
Your new role
You will be responsible for developing strong customer and colleague relationships to provide robust invoicing/ credit control and purchase ledger processes. You will ensure accurate and timely processing and chasing of payments in accordance with payment schedules and company procedures, to maximise the collection of money and minimise the number of overdue accounts and bad debts. You will be responsible for bank and account reconciliations and assist with monthly management accounts and year end tasks as required.
What you'll need to succeed
You will be an experienced Finance Assistant who has dealt with reconciliations and high volume invoice processing. You will ideally have experience dealing with credit control and purchase ledger. You will have excellent I.T skills, possess excellent attention to detail and you will be able to work in a busy and demanding role. You will possess excellent communication skills and have an ability to work to your own initiative.
