Job Details

The Financial controller will have responsibility and accountability for financial reporting, forecasting, planning and analysis of the business unit. The role will also work closely with the wider business and ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting.

Description

The Financial Controller will be responsible for:

  • Signing-off timely monthly financial statements, coordinating the preparation of regulatory reporting, working closely with the wider business and ensuring quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting
  • Business Partnering with the operational management team, providing assurance to maximise financial performance
  • Will be responsible for leading the development of business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls
  • Implementing finance transformation programmes, such as IFRS16 and other regulatory driven process changes
  • Supporting transformation and strategy projects
  • Management and coordination of the budget
  • Monthly reporting and forecasting process

Profile

The Financial Controller will be:

  • Fully qualified accountant (CIMA, ACCA, ACA)
  • Previous experiance in financial planning, reporting, analysis, consolidations and systems
  • A strong business partner with with the ability to challenge and influence multiple, non-finance stakeholders
  • Ability to manage ambiguity
  • Experience of mitigating risks, implanting best practice and following strict governance procedures
  • Advisor and coach to others both within own team and elsewhere, formulates their operational guidelines or in-depth knowledge and advises on specialist area
  • Experience within a similar sector is ideal

Job Offer

£45,000 - £55,000 with a good benefits package
