Assistant Financial Controller - £36,000 (+Study Support) - Hotels industry - Waterloo - Permanent position

You will be working within a 4* hotel based in Waterloo that is part of a wider group of hotels. This is a great place to work within a largely growing hotel chain who currently have 9 different properties across the UK. This role is a 10 minute walk from Waterloo station. The team is a vibrant and sociable environment.

Your new role
You will be the Assistant Financial Controller reporting to the Financial Controller within a team of 5 in finance. This hotel is one of the largest in the chain and the role will see you having management over 3 members of staff. The Financial Controller is looking for a strong second in command who will happily take or more duties down the line and who is keen to progress.

What you'll need to succeed
To be eligible for this role you must have experience within the hospitality sector previously and happy to take on this new and exciting opportunity. Key duties include:

• Bank reconciliations
• Month end duties - accruals, prepayments and journals
• Liaising with different hotels within the chain
• Assisting with the monthly management accounts package
• Profit and Loss analysis
• Balance sheet reconciliations
• Ideally experience using the systems: Opera, Micros, SUN or SAP
