Job Details
This Project Accounting role is a maternity cover for a 12 month period, starting at the beginning of April 2019.
Client Details
Our client is a large and rapidly expanding business based in Abingdon.
Description
The main remit of this role will be working with the project teams to assist them with their cost management. Some of the key responsibilities will be:
* Providing financial information as required by the project teams in conjunction with the Director of FP&A
* Working collaboratively across the finance function and supporting more junior members of the team
* Preparing and take responsibility for the quarterly and year-end audit files and supporting documentation within agree deadlines
* Preparation of the annual statutory accounts for the subsidiary companies
* Provide assistance for the preparation of quarterly financial reports
* Assisting with the preparation of the group tax computations
* Collating the data for the quarterly and annual R&D tax credit claim, for first draft calculations
* Continuous review of accounting systems and procedures identifying process improvements
* Preparing monthly balance sheet reconciliations for US subsidiary
Profile
For this role we are looking for a Qualified candidate with:
* Strong Excel and financial systems experience, with the ability to manipulate and interpret key financial data
- Demonstratable experience of working within a fast-paced finance function
* High level of accuracy and attention to detail
* Demonstrable experience of prioritising workload and managing multiple tight deadlines effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment
* Excellent communication skills with the ability to forge strong internal and external working relationships
* Enthusiastic team player with an approachable manner and an ability to engage with colleagues across the business with a constructive and can-do attitude to deliver the successful completion of team outputs within required deadlines.
Job Offer
Up to £45,000 on a fixed term contract for one year
