Job Details
Our client are seeking an ambitious and credible qualified Management Accountant. This role will take full responsibility for the production of the Management Accounts for a c£100mil turnover business. You'll also be expected to impact the business by seeking out improvements and changes that can be made to their processes.

Description
Reporting into the Financial Controller, the position would have day to day dealings with both financial and non-financial departments in order to understand financials. The main deliverable of this role will be to significantly improve and streamline processes for Management Accounts reporting. Our client are looking for candidates with a strong motivation to improve processes and make efficiencies within the business. In addition, your responsibilities will include:
- Daily sales reporting
- P&L and BS review and reconciliation each month.
- Processing journals - Wages, rebates, accruals, prepayments.
- Generation of the Month End accounts pack, with commentary on variances to budget and prior year.
- Internal reporting and liaison with business partners.
- System and process improvements to improve accuracy and timeliness of the accounts
- Completion of Management Accounts on time.
- Accuracy of the Management Accounts
- Understanding and improvement of the processes involved in the completion of the accounts.
Profile
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build effective working relationships across the business.
- Qualified accountant at ACA/ACCA/CIMA level.
- Management accounts experience ideally in businesses with a turnover in excess of £50m.
- Strong systems skills including data manipulation in Excel and ideally good PowerPoint skills.
- Sage, Advanced Excel, Powerpoint, database manipulation an advantage.
