Trainee Accountant - Pontyclun £20,000 - £23,000 + Study Package

This is an opportunity to join a well established independent retailer's busy finance team at their head offices in Pontyclun. You will provide assistance in relation to stock accounting and across all areas of the finance function. It provides an excellent opportunity to gain exposure in a wide variety of areas.

Your new role
Duties will include but are not limited to preparation of month end journals eg accruals and cost of sales journals, prepare and review month end stock reports, review and audit of stock valuations, assist with stock take reporting and margin investigation, reporting on pipeline sales, nominal analysis preparation and investigation, preparation of stock reconciliations and balance sheet schedules, P&Ls, VAT and intrastat schedules, assisting with preparation of monthly Management Information pack.

What you'll need to succeed
You will be an Accounting graduate who has a minimum of six months work experience within a finance function. Strong Excel skills including the use of pivot tables and v look ups with the ability to analyse and summarise data. Knowledge of double entry accounting. Strong communication skills both written and oral are required with the ability to work to tight deadlines.

What you'll get in return
You will receive a salary of £20,000 - £23,000 dependent on experience. A study support package for ACCA / ACA will be offered to the right candidate. 29 days annual leave (including bank holidays). On site parking.
