On behalf of a business based in the centre of Reading I am recruiting for a permanent Accounts Assistant to join their expanding finance team.

Client Details

My client is a rapidly expanding SME with exciting plans to grow over the next 2-3 years.

Description

The successful applicant for this permanent role will get exposure to the following:

  • Management of sales ledger
  • Management of purchase ledger
  • Preparation of daily bank reconciliation
  • Maintaining accounts, verifying and posting transactions
  • Setting up of new supplier accounts and maintaining existing account details
  • Making payments by BACS
  • Balancing accounts on a day-to-day or week-to-week basis
  • Managing client invoices & payments
  • Liaising with clients, suppliers and banking contacts
  • Working closely with Financial Controller to prepare VAT returns

Profile

To be considered for this permanent role you must posses the following:

  • Have had exposure to the majority of the above tasks
  • A close attention to detail and a conscientious approach
  • Effective management and use of specialist ICT packages especially Microsoft office and Excel
  • Working knowledge of Financial programs
  • Ability to plan and manage workload/meet deadlines
  • Good communication skills
  • Good Literacy and Numeracy skills
