Leading Transport and rail company in Milton Keynes looking for an experienced Accounts Receivable clerk to join their team.

Our client are a house hold name a leading transport and rail brand in Milton Keynes.
Description
Accounts Receivable Clerk Responsibilities:
- Daily collection activities and maintenance of the sales ledgers
- Point of contact for all internal and external billing queries
- Liaise with all members of the sales team to resolve customer queries
- Reviewing existing processes and systems and implementing improvements
- Taking payments by debit or credit card
- Raising credit notes
- Daily receipting activities
- Working pro-actively to ensure accounts do not become overdue
- All written communication and processes action-ed to agreed timescales
- Performing bank account reconciliations
- Administrator duties for bank accounts including managing users, payments, direct debits and standing orders
- Setting up of new customers on to the accounting platform
- Assist with administration tasks and any ad-hoc tasks that are required
Profile
Accounts Receivable Clerk Requirements:
- Understanding of the accounts receivable process
- Experience within the rail industry would be a bonus
- Effectiveness in identifying problems, seeking pertinent data, recognising important information and identifying possible causes of problems
- Time management
- Proficient in use of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Previous experience of SAP is preferred
- Excellent communication skills
- Time management
- Proven ability to manage multiple work streams at the same time while paying strict attention to detail
