An fantastic opportunity for an individual experienced payroll to expand on their skill-set by operating within this global pharmaceuticals company as a Payroll Specialist. Within this role, based from Cambridge, the Payroll Specialist will be afforded a number of progression opportunities and have an immediate impact on the business.

Description

The Payroll Specialist will be responsible for:

  • Processing payment of employees across a number of payrolls and currencies
  • Systems development and providing of innovative ideas
  • Company pension scheme administration
  • Reconciliation of salaries to tax deductions from employees
  • Processing and updating details of new employees and employees leaving the company
  • Supervision of junior payroll processing staff, including mentoring and development
  • Monitoring company payrolls to ensure timely processing and filing of RTI returns.
  • Invoicing - production of invoice after checking for accuracy
  • Real Time Information (RTI) submissions - producing electronic file and submitting to HMRC

Profile

The successful applicant for the Payroll Specialist position will:

  • Previous payroll experience is required, ideally knowledge of end to end payroll
  • A strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Excel
  • Hold experience with a broad range of systems
  • Excellent time management skills and multi-tasking are required to ensure strict deadlines are met
  • A proactive, customer-focused approach and the ability to communicate clearly and in a professional, courteous manner both verbally and in writing
  • Capable of working under minimal supervision and able to organise and manage own workload, often working in a sole capacity
