Job Details

You will be responsible for Management Accounts, annual accounts, forecasts and budgets for this business unit, and provide cover for the Finance Manager in their absence.

My client are a growing, entrepreneurial leisure business based in Cheltenham

Description

  • Preparation of the monthly management accounts for submission to Group by the monthly deadlines.
  • Preparation of the quarterly reporting packs and the quarterly product line productively report for submission to Group
  • Ensure that the monthly Intercompany Reconciliation statements are agreed and countersigned within Group deadlines, and that revaluations are accurate.
  • Creation of sales invoices, cancellations and recharges. Ensuring these are raised on a timely basis, resolving any discrepancies with the Sales team
  • Assisting the Finance Director/Financial Controller in the quarterly forecasting process
  • Assisting the Finance Director/Financial Controller in the budgetary process
  • Control over debtors account ensuring all outstanding amounts are chased by consultants, and that amounts owed as commission to agents are paid on a timely basis.
  • Preparation of the VAT return
  • Responsible of the Annual Audit of accounts
  • Maintenance of the Fixed Asset register
  • Processing both overhead and Direct cost Invoicing, ensure that supplier payments are made on a timely basis
  • Production of the weekly forward booking report (FBR)

    • Profile

    • The ideal applicant will have previous experience of working in a busy finance office with the ability to work to tight deadlines.
    • Must be a keen and motivated person able to work well in a team and motivate others around them
    • A good work ethic and willing to go the extra mile
    • An organised individual who has high attention to detail and accuracy
    • Must be able to work effectively on several projects at any one time.
    • Excellent excel skills including Vlookups and pivot tables.
    • Ideally you will have a relevant qualification within the finance industry such as ACA, CIMA or ACCA, however good part-qual and QBE candidates may be considered with the relevant experience.

    Job Offer

    This role will pay a salary of £32-36,000 dependant on skills and experience.
