Michael Page Finance are pleased to be working with a Bridgwater based education provider to appoint a Finance Business Partner in to their finance team on a 3-6 month contract. The position will suit a qualified accountant with deomstrable management accounting experience.

Description

  • Production of accurate monthly budget reports to meet the full requirements of cost centre managers
  • Collection of financial information and data for the preparation of the forecasts and annual budgets, to include the scrutiny of budget assumptions
  • Regularly meet with budget holders to review actual, planned and projected financial performance, professionally representing the Finance Department
  • Provide budget holders with financial insight and challenge, adding demonstrable value
  • Identify monthly accounting adjustments required to ensure accurate financial performance recorded
  • Communication of key financial performance data to the Head of Finance
  • Support budget holders in income maximisation, cost control and financial efficiency
  • Support budget holders in making quality financial decisions to achieve financial targets
  • Support budget holders in assuming greater degrees of financial accountability by providing local coaching and training to improve financial confidence and competence
  • Work closely with the Financial Accountant to ensure accounts show a true and fair positon and that cash-flow forecasts are accurate
  • Develop the efficiency, effectiveness and quality of financial reports/management information and financial tools and templates associated with performance evaluation
  • Provision of ad hoc analysis and support as required by key stakeholders including projects and other initiatives

    The ideal candidate for the Finance Business Partner position:

  • Qualified Accountant
  • Experience of producing management accounts
  • Experience of delivering an effective business partner service
  • Ability to deal with a large volume of work whilst maintaining accuracy
  • Excellent Excel skills
  • Ability and willingness to travel and work at all college campuses
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to develop working relationships with stakeholders

    On offer for the ideal candidate:

    • Pro Rata salary of £37,500.
