T2M Resourcing are recruiting a Group Financial Accountant for a leading Leicestershire Business Services company. The company has experienced fast growth in 2018 and has made a number of exciting acquisitions to further strengthen the group's market presence and broaden the services offering to its customers. Reporting to the Group Financial Controller with responsibility for leading the Financial Accounting, Treasury and Taxation activities, this is a great opportunity for a qualified ACA / ACCA accountant who initially trained in public practice and is now seeking their next career step. What will you be doing as Group Financial Accountant? Supporting the Group Financial Controller and leading a team of qualified and part-qualified staff with the management of the full balance sheet reconciliation process for the Group. Ensuring reconciliations are prepared and reviewed by the team members on a timely basis. Preparation and submission of the quarterly Group VAT returns. Management of the group Treasury function including processing of payments, posting receipts allocations and Group interest calculations on internal and external debt. Updating weekly Group cash flow forecast. Preparation of the Annual Statutory Accounts for the trading companies and non-trading entities. Preparation of the Corporation Tax calculations and disclosures in the annual statutory accounts. Completion of the corporation tax packs for submission to the external consultants for the corporation tax returns. Working with the Group FC in preparing for the key audit deliverables within tight deadlines. CIS compliance - monthly returns submissions. Documenting the accounting processes that sit within the Financial Accounts team. Identify and implement opportunities to improve efficiencies. Improving internal controls of the finance function of the business. Completion of National Statistics Returns on an ad hoc basis. Lead and develop a high performance team To take a proactive role in delivering projects as defined by the Group Financial Controller. What skills and experience do you need? Qualified Accountant (ACA / ACCA) who has initially trained within an Accountancy practice and has at least one post qualified move within industry Strong technical experience in preparing statutory accounts and corporation tax calculations Balance sheet reconciliations and VAT preparation experience Demonstration of high level of intellect and speed of understanding The ability to plan, prioritise and meet stringent reporting deadlines - must be able to lead and inspire the team to achieve great results, often in a fast changing and complex environment Advanced excel skills Well rounded individual; organised, self-motivated and enthusiastic Proven team management and development skills A driven and aspirational character who will provide the Group FC with strong support and be able to deputise in their absence To apply for this challenging and rewarding opportunity please forward your CV with details of your current salary, benefits and notice period.
