Hays Accountancy & Finance are exclusively partnering with rapidly growing Technology business based in Tewkesbury, Gloucestershire for an ambitious and dynamic Finance Manager, reporting directly into the MD and then over time into the Head of Finance. An extremely varied finance role where you will take a lead in the day-to-day accounting duties supporting a growing SME, where you can really add value and support to the wider business. Your new role

Your key duties will include preparation of quarterly management accounts, balance sheet reconciliations, accruals, prepayments, fixed asset register and assistance in the preparation for year-end audit. You will provide assistance in budget preparation and forecasting along with transactional duties including purchase/sales ledger processing, bank reconciliations, VAT returns and bank reconciliations. You will be involved in bids/contracts related processes for the business working closely with internal teams and senior management, along with processing payroll/HR related administration. This newly created role will be tailored around the right candidate, reporting directly into the MD and then in time into the Head of Finance.

What you'll need to succeed

To be considered for this exciting and newly created Finance Manager role, you must have experience within a similar position and be comfortable working with senior management, internal teams and building relationships with external parties. Ideally you will be part-qualified/qualified CIMA/ACCA/ACA or qualified by experience. It is essential you have experience working within an SME with a hands-on analytical approach and want to really progress and develop within your finance career. You must have strong MS Excel skills with key attention to detail, it would be advantageous but not essential if you have experience with Xero finance packages, and have worked in the technology sector previously.
