Finance Graduate Programme
The Finance Graduate Programme gives the perfect opportunity for graduates to gain a broad understanding of how the Dixons Carphone Finance Function operates. Through a series of placements across the different, core departments and teams this programme provides a holistic view of the function. Its purpose is to ensure that Dixons Carphone has a pipeline of Finance professionals who understand our business and can develop a career with us, whether that be in a specialism or a leadership role.
The graduates also have access to a Digital Graduate Development programme supported by workshops and other activities and access to a wider graduate network, a social learning platform that supports a self-directed learning culture, mentors and planned development activities giving exposure to senior leaders and experience of high level projects.
Graduates will have a comprehensive and exciting induction into our business. They will get an overview into how the business works, meet with some senior leaders and start their development journey. Most importantly, they will experience what our customers experience by spending time in our retail stores, visit our largest distribution centre, experiencing our contact centres and delivering products to our customers’ homes.
Once they have completed their induction they will have a functional induction. This is where they will begin to build relationships with their network and stakeholders, begin to understand their objectives and understand the structure.
The graduates will follow a three-year programme and involve threes rotations, each lasting 12 months, so that the graduate can get experience of the full financial year within a particular area. Graduates will rotate across different areas within finance whether that be Tax, Audit, Commercial Finance etc. Graduates will also be supported with a professional qualification for the duration of their programme. This is the ideal opportunity to gain a breadth of experience from each rotation as well as having the opportunity to get involved with project work.
Development doesn’t stop at the end of your programme. This programme is designed to pipeline talent across the Finance Function whether that be future leaders or specialists.
