Working with the Commercial Director, this role is also responsible for the management and execution of activities to deliver distribution strategy. Coordinating activities across sales, marketing and 'shared' functions to ensure efficient and effective execution maximises returns on investments and performance. Shaping and developing the commercial strategies, key initiatives and annual plan.

Description

The Senior Commercial Analyst (Revenue & FP&A) role involves;

Financial Planning & Analysis Responsibilities -

  • Own the accurate and timely execution of all month end financial processes actuals & forecasting. Lead & support & guide budget line owners in marketing & sales to improve accuracy.
  • Lead monthly review of variance performances with Commercial Director & MD
  • Work with sales and marketing teams to better understand financial returns on investment from activities to better inform future decision making
  • Own commission forecast, including the tracking and reporting of spend to forecast & plan
  • Own formulation of supporting financials for annual planning process
  • Work with Commercial Director in the tracking and reporting of performance to key annual PLAN goals, identifying key risks and opportunities with recommendations for maximising performance
  • Calculate and track weekly performance of Field sales team incentive schemes in agreement with Commercial Director

Distribution Planning -

  • Working with Commercial Director to determine the development and implementation of the UK&I Sales strategy
  • Create, own and enhance regular weekly dashboard reporting of channel sales and commission performance to support more effective commercial & sales activities
  • Work with the Commercial Director in the formulation and planning of commercial agreements with trade partners
  • Support key 3rd party negotiations as needed
  • Ensure the accurate & efficient execution and administration of annual commercial agreements, co-ordinating with Sales team and the Legal & Commercial Support shared services team
  • Responsible for execution of all aspects of tactical commercial schemes including target setting, external reporting and calculation of final results
  • Ensure accurate tracking and forecasting of all commercial agreements (annual, tactical and trade incentives) including the provision of reporting to 3 commissions against Plan
  • In close partnership with the Field Sales team oversee the management of the co-op marketing budget in particular driving increased awareness around return on investment
  • Commercial lead on development of 'Salesforce' distribution tool in conjunction with senior management & sales team
  • Provide weekly distribution KPI reporting for senior management with additional in depth reporting for Sales to utilise including OTR tool
  • Work alongside the Commercial Director and sales team to develop distribution strategy and Annual Operating Plan

Revenue Management -

  • Work with the Commercial Director to agree with revenue team the UK&I annual revenue plan and product sourcing
  • Provide robust reporting & analysis of performance to PLAN goal throughout year, identifying risks and opportunities
  • Input into commercial team decisions and actions to achieve revenue targets
  • Working across all the brand functions co-ordinate the UKs promotional calendar
  • Support Product Ops Exec in tracking financial forecasting & performance, including variance analysis

Profile

The ideal candidate for Senior Commercial Analyst (Revenue & FP&A) will;

  • have proven experience in the Commercial and/or Revenue Management arena
  • Have strong Financial Modelling skills
  • ideally have experience with Hyperion (not essential)
  • have experience of analysing large amounts of data to identify trends and meaningful insights
  • have strong relationship building skills
