Hays Accountancy and Finance are proud to be working with progressive company in Coventry, to recruit for an experienced Purchase Ledger on a permanent basis.
Your new role
As a Purchase Ledger Clerk your main responsibility will be to assist with the administration of the purchase ledger, ensuring that outward payments are made in accordance with set time frames and checking/posting invoices accurately. You will ensure all invoices are authorised, coded, allocated and inputted onto Pegasus Opera III; match all invoices correctly to a PO on the system; set up new supplier accounts; reconcile supplier statements; and deal with all purchase ledger queries. You will be the main point of contact for supplier calls, checking balances and escalating overdue invoices being chased to be authorised for payment in line with the weekly cash-flow.
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful you will have previous experience in Purchase Ledger and be competent with MS Excel. You will have excellent communication skills with the ability to communicate with people at all levels and be able to prioritise workload to meet strict deadlines. You will be a strong team player but also able to work under your own initiative.
