DESCRIPTION

Hey, we are Bud. We’re the world’s most intelligent distributor of financial services and we’re looking for an accounts analyst to join our growing team.

We’re in a rapid growth phase and the finance team is crucial in building the future of Bud. As accounts analyst you will be working closely with and learning from both the Finance Manager and Finance Analyst and gaining experience in both areas of the function. This role offers a unique opportunity to grow with the company and progress your career.

Our mission

We want to improve daily life for millions of people (ourselves included,) by making their finances easier to manage so that everybody can be good with money. Whether we like it or not, money plays a huge part in all our lives. Bud is rethinking how the whole industry works, building products that make the experience better for everyone.

How we're doing it?

We’re building apps and infrastructure that help people take control of their personal data and use it to make their lives easier. We’ve started with open banking - building a platform that connects people’s fragmented finances in smart ways so that they don’t have to think too much about all the admin that comes with managing finances. We’re killing off the never-ending form filling, making smart recommendations about the kind of financial products that might work for you and generally making finance into something that supports your life.

As our accounts analyst, you will...

  • Assist in the day to day running of the company accounts (bank, purchases, sales and VAT)
  • Raise supplier payments for approval
  • Managing supplier queries
  • Assist in preparation of monthly management reporting
  • Assist in preparation of budgets and forecasts
  • Supporting the head of finance and financial analyst
  • Study towards CIMA qualification

REQUIREMENTS

We’re looking for people who …

  • Are highly proficient in Microsoft Excel
  • Have a willingness to learn
  • A strong team player but also with the ability to work under minimal supervision
  • Detail oriented, organised and proactive
  • This role would be well suited to a recent graduate with a finance or business degree

Bud’s platform will improve the financial well being of millions of people around the world, we’re winning all kinds of tech & innovation awards, and we’re just getting started.

Our culture of autonomy and ownership encourages rapid growth, engagement, and satisfaction. So, if you think you’ll enjoy this type of work, environment, and career progression, we’d love to hear from you.

You’ll be given a budget for a brand new MacBook (or similar), and/or computer accessories so you’ll have the best tools for the job.

Hours & flexibility

Standard hours are 9:30 am to 6 pm, however as part of our high-performance team, you'll benefit from the flexibility to manage your own day to optimise the way you work to be at your best.

Social

We’re big on keeping Bud a social team, so Christmas and Summer parties can be a big deal. We’ll also organise sports events, music gigs and after-work meet-ups.

Office

Bud’s new office is a newly renovated space, specifically designed to our needs. Cool interior, breakout spaces, professional meeting rooms, brand new kitchen, loads of bike storage and a shower room for our part-time athletes.
