The Financial Accountant position is a new role to support the organisation in its future growth. The FA will join an existing team and will have management responsibility for 2 team members. My client is looking for someone who is enthusiastic, proactive and wants to be part of a developing business.

Description
As Financial Accountant you will be responsible for:
- Finalising the monthly management accounts and submitting to Group in line with the reporting timetable
Preparation of monthly narrative to support accounts submission describing P&L performance, cash movements, order intake, overhead variances and working capital movements
Preparation and distribution of Management Accounts pack to Senior Leadership teams
Undertaking variance analysis to understand the nature of major over/under spends against budget and/or forecast
Co-ordinate weekly cash flow reporting and provide narrative on movements from previous forecast
Assist with business planning and reporting including specifically Integrated Business Planning, quarterly forecasts, annual budgets and five-year planning cycles
Reconciliation and reporting relating to the weekly cash forecasting and reporting to Group
Assist in the implementation of the new ERP system
Assist the Financial Controller and Head of Finance on ad hoc project work
Profile
The successful Financial Accountant will:
- Hold a recognised accountancy qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA)
- Have 2+ years of working in a similar role - strong technical skills and knowledge
- Experience of working within the manufacturing sector (Ideal)
- Proven experience of managing junior members of staff
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills
- Strong IT skills
- Good interpersonal skills to work with the wider Group and other areas of the business
